“As a kid, I sat on the roof of our house on the farm and would marvel at the stars. The stars were always twinkling, dazzling, brilliant and beautiful. As I got into Astrology and started reading charts I found out everybody is a star. Everyone has his/her unique talents and gifts that are just waiting to shine. I encourage you to shine bright. The greatest contribution you can make to the world is to show up fully in who you are.”~ Lori Yamamoto
Growing up in a Japanese American family, I was under the illusion that I would go to college and then get a job where I could grow and be successful. The Universe had another plan for me, because that didn’t happen. Despite all attempts to have a “normal” job, and wanting to fulfill my parent’s dream, I couldn’t quite achieve the success I was looking for, and I definitely was not happy. Deep inside I knew this was not my path.
Fortunately I discovered Astrology. My first Astrologer told me that I was not meant to have a normal 9:00 – 5:00 job. She explained that I was meant to do something unique and different. That piece of information was so freeing and liberating. It changed my life. I felt like for the first time in my life, I was validated for what I knew was true for me.
Astrology gave me great insight into myself. It also helped me understand other people. It was also a wonderful tool to help me see some of the things I came to learn this lifetime. When I saw the value of using Astrology in my life, I began using Astrology to help other people.
Astrology was the gateway to my learning spirituality, metaphysics, quantum physics and healing. The more I learned about myself, the more I wanted to learn how to get out of my own way. So I studied things from the esoteric to the practical to make my life better. I've been fortunate to have studied with many amazing healers/teachers.
I found that it is the inner work that creates the most profound and lasting change. As I have learned to take 100% responsibility for everything that shows up in my life, the better my life has become. As I have learned to come from my heart and follow my heart, the more miracles seem to show up. Taking 100% responsibility for your life and coming from your heart are simple concepts, but the process is not always easy. Once in awhile part of me enjoys a little drama or likes to play victim, but I know that is not the path to joy. As Carlos Casteneda said: "We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same." So despite whatever drama I perceive myself to be going through, I know I can make a different choice. I know I can choose peace, love and joy. I hope you make that choice too.
My journey has taught me different ways to help and support others. My consultations have changed as I have grown. My work is always evolving. I am joyful that I can be of service to others.
I am so grateful for my beautiful clients who have touched my life, as they are my teachers too. I have learned so much from each client’s personal journey and story. It is an honor and blessing for me.
My wonderful parents still are not sure about what I do for my livelihood, but that’s okay. They allow me to be who I am, even if they do not understand it.
I support each one of you on your journey and in expressing all of who you are.
